This PBS video (reblogged from TreeHugger) shows that it’s not just the hippies that are going green. These young rockers from Mexico City look and act the part but the message in their songs makes them unique. They sing about a different kind of rebellion: environmental rebellion.  These rockers see unlivable conditions and unsafe water surrounding their homes in Mexico City and how the message in theirs songs will not only educate listens but help change their behavior. By helping people in Mexico live more sustainable lives, the city will become a safer, healthier place.

“Whoever is not doing something right now for the earth to save it is living here as a tourist,” says one of the band members. “And as tourist who don’t see the planet as their own, they will continue to sink further down.”
